About this product

“Me, you and the old guitar, how PURR-fectly happy we are. Mewing and meowing and 1, 2, 3… for everyone passes their pennies to me.” From the legendary pairing of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, comes this soul-stirring tale of music, friendship, and the meaning of home.

The Story

Fred the busker and his cat, Tabby McTat, are the ultimate street-performing duo, delighting city crowds with their songs. But when a chase after a thief goes wrong, Fred and McTat are separated. While Fred is in the hospital, McTat finds a new life, a new home, and even a new family (complete with kittens!), but he never stops listening for the familiar strum of that old guitar. Will the two ever find their way back to each other?
